If your demographic profile looks anything like mine, you probably see a million Facebook and Instagram ads for bath and body products, including those bath bombs that have a ring inside.

About a year ago, I finally caved and signed up for Fragrant Jewels reviews clique , a monthly subscription service that delivers ring bombs and candles. Read on for my full review of Fragrant Jewels and its clique program. Full disclosure: The more I wrote about how Unrivaled Solar works, the more complex things got. First and most important: For the most part, I have only good things to say about Fragrant Jewels bath bombs. They’re nicely fragranced (I haven’t received a single scent yet that I didn’t like), are plenty effervescent, aren’t oversaturated with tub-staining dye, and sometimes incorporate the multicolored/color-changing effects that you find in some Lush bombs.

In other words, they’re exactly what you want from a bath bomb even before they dissolve down to the little ball that pops out with a ring inside.

In almost a year, I’ve had only one disappointing experience with a FJ bomb. The other night, I dropped the new Oahu bath bomb into my tub and it fizzed into oblivion almost instantaneously. I don’t think the pineapple mold really left much room for bath bomb material around the outside of the ring capsule, especially since at 5.5 oz., it’s one of the smaller bombs on offer. My bath tub must be Nicolas Cage because that sucker was gone in 60 seconds.

(Yes, I cracked myself up thinking about that line. I’ve been entertaining myself with it for days.)

That’s by far the exception, however; the other FJ bombs I’ve used have had a little more staying power in addition to their fragrance and moisturizing properties.

The candles were actually what convinced me to try Fragrant Jewels reviews in the first place. When I signed up, we were living in an apartment that had a really inadequate tub, so I wasn’t taking a lot of baths. I was constantly burning a candle in our guest/kids’ bathroom, though, and since I had to keep buying candles anyway, I figured I’d at least like to buy candles that had a little something extra for me.

Wick Dipper - Unrivaled Candles

Who knew candles needed care? Years ago when I lived in Florida, and before I was a candle maker, I was introduced to candle care by another reputable candle line and was blown away at what I learned. Seeing as how we use the finest, cleanest ingredients we can to make a clean-burning and amazing candle, why not give a little care to the investment so you can enjoy it a little longer. Let me explain.

We recommend employing a wick dipper and trimmer and even offer a candle care duo on our site and in our store for max results. In-store we'll provide you with a wick dipper if you are doing not have one, however the candle care duo is well well worth the investment. The wick dipper may be a long stem with an angled end that permits you to dip the wick into the melt pool to extinguish the flame. Why would one do that???

The reason is 2-fold. For one, the flame is put out immediately and as opposed to blowing out or snuffing out, it fully extinguishes the flame which eliminates smoke and soot, and that icky smell afterward. Secondly, it re-coats your wick within the wax which can add hours to your candle. BE SURE TO STAND YOUR WICK BACK UPRIGHT. As you get to the bottom of the jar, dipping may present a challenge so don't force it or you may dislodge your wick; at that point I recommend just blowing it out.

If, by chance, your wick does move on you, simply replace it back to it's origin and allow it to re-solidify. (We have recently changed our adhesive method so all Hadwin House candles made after 12/15/2018 will not have that issue. ) Also, it's vital to trim your wick to 1/4 in before lighting. NEVER leave a candle unattended and avoid burning longer than 4 hours. (that goes for ANY candle company). I have added videos on social media about how to best care for your candles. So there you have it, that is why we use the wick dipper thingy and we love it. Once you start using it, you'll never want to blow out a candle again!

When you blow out a candle or use the lid to kick the bucket out doesn’t enhance the fragrance experience. After filling your room with beautiful fragrance, you finish the evening inevitably filling it with smoke.

My advice is to use the candle wick dipper to push the wick over and convey copy like this

It’s officially fall, it’s officially October and that means we can officially start thinking about the holidays! For me, that means crisp, pine-scented mornings, cozy knits, hot toddies, and eggnog candle. I love the creamy, nutmeg-laced beverage that only gets better with age, but making a fresh batch is admittedly a process.

I wanted a way to keep the delicious scent of the holiday drink filling my living room all season without having to make batch after batch of eggnog (but don’t get me wrong, I’ll definitely be whipping some up in the near future!). So i made a decision to share a soy wax candle DIY with an eggnog-scented mixture volatile oil that do the trick quite nicely.

To begin my soy wax candle DIY project, I started by rounding up a bunch of vintage glassware in different shapes, sizes and height. A good thrift store is my go-to for treasure hunts like this. I gathered a bunch of glass, crystal, and gold-trimmed glasses to use as my candle vessels and to go along with the cocktail theme of the candles. Then, I infused soy wax (I prefer soy because it's a cleaner burn and lasts longer) with nutmeg, cinnamon, and vanilla essential oils to make a subtle but delicious scent that smells just like eggnog!

Start by setting up a double boiler by adding an inch or two of water to the bottom of a pan and bringing it to a simmer. Place a smaller pan inside the opposite one and add your soy wax flakes. The flakes will reduce by a few half once they melt, so simply fill your glass twice with wax flakes to live about what proportion you’ll got to melt.

Use a wooden chopstick or skewer to stir the wax because it melts. Once it’s fully melted, remove it from the heat and let cool for about two minutes. We want the wax to chill just a touch before we add the essential oils so as to not dilute the scents with an excessive amount of heat. Allowing the wax to cool a little bit will also help it settle nicely in your glass without cracking or pulling away from the edges.

Place the wood wick on the stand it came with and set it carefully in the center of your glass. It should stay upright pretty easily as long as it’s on a level surface.

Carefully pour the wax into the glass, leaving 1/2″ to 1″ of space at the top of the glass. Let cool in a temperate environment. Don’t be tempted to put the eggnog candle in the fridge to cool them faster as this will result in cracked candles.

You’ll be ready to see because the candles cool from bottom to top, since the wax will slowly change from a transparent , straw color to an opaque white. When the top 1″ of wax in the glass is just starting to turn opaque, top with cinnamon stick, pieces of star anise, a sprinkle of peppercorns and a pinch of nutmeg.

Creme Brulee Candles - Unrivaled Candles

Wax melts are essentially a candle without a wick. Place one cube within the top of a wax warmer where it'll melt to release the scent. Our wax melts hold an abundance of fragrance and can last up to twenty hours, but unlike a candle, the wax doesn't burn away.

Once you'll not smell the fragrance you'll throw the old wax away and begin a replacement cube. It is important to use a hotter which is specifically designed for wax melts because the other sort of warmer could reach temperatures much above designed for wax melts.
